12th Annual Humboldt Math Festival • 04.06.2019 • Matt Filar
The Humboldt Math Festival is an exciting, annual, community event celebrating how mathematics is woven through art, science, history, cultures, careers, and how math is used in numerous and varied fields! At this free event with activities for all ages, attendees explore ways mathematics can be fun and engaging, and how it impacts our lives; they see demonstrations, and participate in activities presented by educators, other professionals, students from CR and HSU, and other community members, who all volunteer time, energy, and materials to this community to share fun in mathematics. The Math Festival has games, art, contests, puzzles, and college and career information, too. Created by Ken Pinkerton in 2007, all organizers and presenters at the Math Festival are volunteers. This year's Engineering Challenge was Binder Clip Catapults!
