Several restored World War II aircraft lumbered into the Humboldt County airport in McKinleyville on Monday before noon for three days of tours, flights and even flying lessons aboard original “warbirds.” The authentically restored interiors of a B-17 Flying Fortress, a B-24 Liberator, as well as B-25 Mitchell, P-51 Mustang, and P-40 Warhawk aircraft are on the tarmac through Wednesday. The Collings Foundation is taking a national tour and is headed to Oregon after their three-day stay. For more information, go to https://bit. ly/2I6jEYu.
